My Christmas Card Stash is Low Blog Hop

Hello Everyone.  It's great to work on Christmas cards all year long so when the joyous season arrives, I have most of my Chirtmas card done and ready to send out.

When Sarah was talking about this hop, I jumped right in.  You should have arrived from Carla's .  If you found your way here in the middle of the hop start back at the beginning

There will be 2 blog candies for this hop.

First, There will be a stash prize given out randomly to 1 comment from all the blogs. You MUST comment on all the blogs!! You will have until Tuesday the 30th at 11:59pm CST to comment. Sarah will announce the winner on Wednesday morning.

The second prize will have a little more work for you to enter. We're going to have a little challenge for you to enter. 1st you will need to stop and comment on every blog. 2nd you will need to create a holiday card/gift tag/general gift giving paraphernalia and enter it at the inlinkz on Sarah's blog. You have a week to enter and you can enter up to 3 projects. The prize for this challenge is a stamp set and crinkle ribbon bundle of YOUR CHOICE from our sponsor Mae Sunshine Designs!

So now on to my Christmas Card.  I don't know why, but everytime I color the hobbie girl I used pink and blues for her bonnet and dress.  I wanted the girl to be sitting on an ornament, but I didn't want to pull out an electronic cutting machine.   I found a dollie on my table and sponged it with evergreen ink.  Then I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Forest Green Sparkle mist.

I used this great Basic Grey background paper that pulled all of my colors together.  It also reminded me of a Christmas Sweater.    In the picture, you can't see the three little heart rinestones that are in the bottom corner.

Here's a look at the inside.

Your next stop is Maria's blog.

Remember to stop by and leave a little blog love at each stop along the way to be eligable for blog candy.

If you get sidetracked along the way, here's a complete list of stops.

Melissa is giving away the lovely prize of the winner's choice of 4 single digis!

I create a gift card using this great digi of a little bird taking a bath.

I decided that this would be great for a gift card for a special someone that needed a spa day.

The card base is cut 7" x 4" then scored at 3" and 6".   I originally planed for the folded lip to go on the outside, but after putting the picture on a belly-band it didn't look quite right.  The card holder is a 3.625" x 5.125" sealed and cut in half.  Then I used a 5/8" circle punch to create the finger hole.

I used a ribbon with wired edges for the belly band.  I figured that would give it strength to hold the card closed and help keep the image flat.

Thanks for stoping by today and taking a look at my project using Meljen's Designs.

For more projects using Meljen's Designs go to Crafting by Designs post today.  You can enter your own creation there for your chance to win the great prize package.

Happy Crafting.

C & S Weekly Challenge #15

#15
Challenge:   Thank You Cards

Dates:  April 16, 2013 to April 22, 2013

Hello Crafty Friends.  Tammy here with a quick thank you card for this week's challenge.

I attended a Crop for Cancer held at S.E.I.'s warehouse last weekend with a great bunch of friends and we had a really awesome time.  While I was there I created this quick card.  (Yes, it was the ONLY project I managed to complete.)  I should stop taking all my crafting stuff and just take junk food.  All I do while I'm there is chat and munch.

So being at S.E.I.'s warehouse of course I just had to purchase some of their great paper for my creation.

The stamp has the entire flower on it.  But I really wanted to add something more to it.  So I threaded the button and glued it on.

I hope you enjoyed this very quick and simple thank you card
