LIFE - UP, DOWN & SIDEWAYS: September 2014

September 17, 2014 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADGE!!! Hello Everyone. I'm so excited to be a part of this great hop and helping Madge celebrate her birthday. She has gathered a great group of friends to be apart of her birthday celebration. So make sure you start at the beginning and giver her some Birthday Wishes. I have to start by saying that this month has the most birthdays for our family so I have been in mass production card making mode.

I have to also admit that many nights I sit on the couch with my bag of Copic markers and a stack of random printed or stamped images. So I took a look at some of the images I'd already colored and decided that I could make use of them to help along the card making. I went real old school on these two cards. I used two Close to My Heart stamp sets. The first one was Banner Wishes (B1438). I stamped the banner, but I didn't really like how the happy birthday fit in it. So I picked up a discontinued CTMH stamp set with a sentiment that I thought fit better. Then fussy cut out the banner. Looking back I wish I would have stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them a real light yellow and pink.

Now the fun was going to be finding paper to match my already randomly colored images. Well, being a craft supply hoarder, it didn't take long to find some great pattern and solid paper and some matching enamel dots.

I'm still thinking I need to add some ribbon or twine on them somewhere.

And the insides with a nice place to add my special messages.
