C&S - Challenge #44

Challenge:  Giving Thanks

November 5 - 11, 2013

We want to Give Thanks for all the wonderful things in out lives.

I can't even begin to list all the wonderful things I'm thankful for and take for granted in my life.  The most important is Family and Friends.  I really don't know what I would do without them.

So here's a card I created to send to a friend.  I hope she knows how much I appreciate her love and support.

I started with the Bazzill Autumn Harvest Paper Collection, coordinating solid card stock and some of the Lickety Slip cards.  I created a pocket on the front of the card and slipped the two cards into it.

I used the Paper Smooches Wise Die Thanks on the front.  I wanted a shadow for the word, but the die cut didn't offer one.  So when I set up my cuttin' sandwich I placed the brown piece of cardstock between the die and the A plate.  This created a good embossed shadow that I was able to fussy cut out.  I then covered the word with Glossy Accents and tied a piece of jute around the bottom.

Here's a look at the inside of the card.  I wanted to bring out the blue in the pattern paper, but I think I overwhelmed it instead.  The stamped sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Many Thanks stamp set.  The Fall on the side is from the top of one of the Lickety Slip cards.  I just love these journalling cards that come in both 3x4 and 4x6 sizes.

We have the Paper Smooches Many Thanks Stamp Set and Thanks die on special this week for $16.40.  This includes shipping to any US address.  Check out the SHOP page for more details.
