Challenge:  Color Challenge
Orange, Purple, Green & Black
October 22 - 28, 2013

Hello Crafty Friends.  Tammy here with a new challenge for you.

We are getting pretty close to Halloween and it's time to get those special projects started for the little goblins.  Well that was the idea when this challenge was created.  I decided to use the colors and featured stamp sets to create a birthday card for a friends 40th birthday.

I started with the colors and the Paper Smooches stamp set Sugar Rush.

I stamped 3 separate cupcakes and candles and colored them with Copics

I used the Doodlebug paper on a black cardstock base.

I added another cupcake on the inside of the card as well.  I distressed the edges with grape ink.

Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on October 25 2013.

C & S Challenge #40

#40
Challenge:   Breast Cancer Awareness
October 8 - 14th, 2013

Hello Everyone.  It's my Design Team Day at Cuttin' and Stampin'
It truly amazes me how a pink ribbon and the promise to a dying sister more than 30 years ago has grown into this massive movement of awareness and early detection.  As a result we are able to celebrate many more survivors.

I believe that all of us have been touched by some form of cancer and it seems like this month more than any other, we all try to do our part to increase awareness and encourage women to go for mammograms.

I have created a card to uplift the spirits of a friend currently fighting this battle.  I hope my small note will giver her strength and encouragement during the tough times ahead.

I started with a Date Swirl card base and matted it with the Slipper pink from Bazzill.  I used the Watermelon Sensation and Marshmallow on the three squares.  I use the Paper Smooches Hope die cut for the word and the Hope stamp set for the sentiment. I then covered the die cut word with diamond glitter.

As I create this post, I hope and pray that this wonderful campaign to increase awareness and early detection will continue to reach more and more women every year.  I don't believe we will ever get rid of the cancer, but we will be able to save more lives.

Please join us with this weeks challenge in creating a project honoring Breast Cancer Awareness. You can enter your project on our Challenge Blog Here
